Ashley Thomas walked into Hope Street in 2012 reluctantly on assignment to learn about organizations in the City of Milwaukee. It didn’t take long to realize the place wasn’t what she expected. One encounter led to another as she moved from faithful volunteer to Operations Director in 2013. In 2015 she was promoted to Assistant Executive Director and assumed the role of Executive Director in 2016. Ashley’s passion, vision and love for all people equip her to do life and simply be present at the Greenhouse for People on 26th and Capitol.
Ashley attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison on an athletic basketball scholarship, graduating in 2012 with a BA in Sociology. She is currently working towards her Masters in Theological Studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School with a hope to go on to complete her PhD. When she is not working she enjoys reading, hiking, campfires and spending time with friends.
